Biography
DOLORES GEBHARDT, ESQ. is the founder and principal member of the Law Offices
of Dolores Gebhardt, PLLC. Her practice is focused on civil appeals and family law matters.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in 1981, and her Juris
Doctor degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 1984.
Ms. Gebhardt is a past president of the Westchester County Bar Association (WCBA).
She previously served the WCBA as President, President-Elect, Vice President, and Secretary,
and as the Chair of the Community Recovery Task Force. She is also a former member of the
Executive Committee of the WCBA’s Domestic Relations and Family Law Section.
Ms. Gebhardt is a sustaining member of the New York State Bar Association. She is the
2016 recipient of the NYSBA’s Kay Crawford Murray Award, which is given annually to a
member who has actively promoted and mentored women in the legal profession.
She is a member of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York and was co-
chair of its Matrimonial and Family Law Committee from 2014 to 2020.
Ms. Gebhardt is a past president of the Westchester Women’s Bar Association (WWBA).
Previously, she served as WWBA Vice President, Treasurer, co-chair of its Matrimonial Law and
Holiday Party Committees, co-chair of the Annual Dinner, and was a member of the Judicial
Screening Committee. She was WWBA Programs co-chair from 2003-2010 and 2011-2013.
Ms. Gebhardt is also a past president of the White Plains Bar Association (WPBA).
Ms. Gebhardt has published several articles in such publications as Pace Law Review,
NYSBA’s Family Law Review, and the New York Law Journal. She is the author of an
authoritative outline on counsel fees in matrimonial actions and in Family Court.
She has lectured numerous times for NYSBA, WBASNY, WCBA, WWBA, WPBA,
NYCLA and the NYS Unified Court System.
